There is still time to catch the AC Retrospective before all the AC Cars head home next Monday. The Simeone Museum is open 10-6 weekdays and 10-4 weekends.

We've Arrived at the 22nd Annual Amelia Island Concours

We just kicked off our excursion to what I believe is the best concours in the country!.....the Amelia Island Concours. This is our 11th trip and this adventure has always proven to be great time. This is the sixth time we have had a car invited to attend this prestigious event and our first time showing a "Preservation Class Car", a 1910 Model H Pickard. This air-cooled brass-era car was once part of the Harrahs collection and is believed to be the only surviving Pickard in existence. Wish us luck!

In the Shop Now

by: Mike Sinback, Shop Manager

This matching numbers 1958 Jaguar XK 150S OTS came in for a full evaluation for restoration. After sitting for some time our technician got the engine running and confirmed that we have good oil pressure and compression. The frame is straight, but we will have to correct some very poorly done body shop metal repairs. This Vintage Cat is a very worthy restoration candidate!

Simeone Museum "AC Retrospective Dinner"

On February 18th the Simeone Museum kicked off the seventh annual Best of Britain with the “AC Cars Retrospective”. Guests flew in from the UK, many of the AC owners also came in from around the states. In all, about 150 people attended the dinner party hosted by Dr. Simeone who spoke about the early

days of AC Cars. Later Bill Jackson, a former member of the AC Racing Team when the Bristol engine was first introduced in the mid '50s shared some stories about his early days of racing. The evening ended with Dr. Simeone having a fireside chat with our local racing legend Bill Wonder as he the recalled his days of SCCA racing the AC Ace BEX 308, now owned by Pete Rorhbacher and at the museum. Pete held many tours of the AC Retrospective through out the last couple of weeks.
Over 300 British car fans attended the "British Beauty Demo Day on Feb 25th and we are proud that this exhibition has been recognized as most complete collection of the “Thames Ditton” AC cars from 1910 through 1983 ever gathered together at one time!  The AC Cars Retrospective is not over yet.  It is not too late as the AC Retrospective is open through Mach 12th. So, come out to witness history and find who put the AC in the AC Cobra! Click HERE for more information to buy tickets online.

AACA Annual Meeting

by: Dave Hutchison

We attended the AACA Winter Meeting at the downtown Sheraton in Philadelphia. Instructor, John Klinger and his students from the restoration program at the Pennsylvania College of Technology demonstrated their metal shaping skills. I had the pleasure of attending a seminar where the AACA Executive Director,,Steve Moskowitz interviewed Bill Warner, the founder and chairman of the Amelia Island Concours. After a long flight in from Paris, Bill shared some slides, spoke about his early days of car collecting, his running the Cannonball and of course the  Amelia Island Concours.

Philadelphia Auto Show

The Philadelphia Auto Show was very well attended this year as over 250,000 people came to the convention center. The little 1962 Lotus Super Seven turned quite a few heads along with 12 other classics. A new single day attendance record of 30,00 was also recorded. The AACA / Elegance exhibit got a lot of attention as folks came by to share their stories of the car that got away or they kept!  Thanks go out to all the car club members who help this year.! We signed up quit a few new AACA Members too!
